I grew up in Baltimore and earned my BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Maryland, where I developed an interest in applying engineering principles to medical research.
After graduating, I contracted viral meningitis during my military service, which shifted my focus to understanding how reality emerges from the central nervous system.
To gain hands-on neuroscience experience, I joined Dr. Conor Liston’s lab at Weill Cornell Medicine, where I developed behavioral equipment to study working memory in mice.
Currently, I am pursuing my PhD at UC Davis, working in the labs of Dr. Lin Tian and Dr. Tim Hanks. My research focuses on creating innovative equipment and techniques to optimize experimental workflows for advanced neuroscience studies with mice.
